Introducing a New Cat to a Dog-First Home

Slow, structured introductions matter more than either animal's individual temperament. Rushing it is the most common reason first introductions go badly.

Keep the cat in a separate room with its own litter box and feeding station for the first week, using a baby gate to allow supervised visual contact before any direct interaction.

See our Multi-Pet Homes collection for the essentials.
